By accessing and using HackMate (the "App"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. These Terms apply to all visitors, organizers, and users who access or use the App.

2. Description of Service

HackMate is a platform for hackathon participants and organizers to browse events, form teams, manage registrations, and publish results. We provide the tools necessary to facilitate hackathon operations and participation.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the App, you must register for an account using your email address or Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the App to:

• Violate any applicable laws or hackathon rules
• Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state your affiliation
• Harass or abuse other participants or organizers
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its related systems

5. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of HackMate and its developer. The App is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both the United States and foreign countries. User-submitted content remains the property of the submitting user.

6. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. HACKMATE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
